Braiding Sweetgrass

Recently I had a hernia operation so was flat on my back for several weeks the upside was I got to start reading Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Potawatomi professor Robin Wall Kimmerer. I was moved to tears (good ones) many times while reading it and I am certain it helped in my healing ????.
It has chapters on creation stories, scientific info, sacred knowledge, language, basket making, gardening, personal tales and much more.
It really is a gentle, beautiful piece of writing and an anti-capitalist book, even if it never mentions that word.
I highly recommend it to everybody.
